Investigate what the customer experienced

A used-sold-as-new complaint can relate to broken seals, damaged packaging, missing accessories, signs of handling, returned inventory, an older version or a detail page that promised a different condition. Identify the ASIN, order, fulfillment channel and inventory batch involved.

Review customer comments without overstating what they prove. The useful question is which operational path could have produced that experience.

Trace inventory by fulfillment route

Compare inventory records with listing images, included components and condition notes. A genuine item can still create a valid condition complaint when the received unit does not match the new-product expectation.

Connect the appeal to the diagnosed cause

Write a concise root cause, completed corrections and preventive controls. Attach order, inventory and process evidence that supports those statements. Avoid a generic promise to improve quality when the actual failure occurred in returns or listing accuracy.
