Amazon Product Safety Compliance Documents Checklist

Read the compliance request as a specification

Record the ASIN, marketplace, product type, requested standard, document type, language and deadline. Requirements can differ by country and product version, so keep the notice with the evidence file.

Identify the exact unit sold: model, generation, materials, power source, age range, packaging and manufacturer. Similar-looking products may require separate records.

Check the identity chain on every document

Resolve spelling, model and address differences with source records. Do not submit a report for a related model without evidence that its scope includes the affected product.

• Applicant, manufacturer and factory names and addresses
• Model, SKU, part number and product images
• Test standard, report date and laboratory identity
• Result, scope, revisions and referenced components
• Seller or brand authorization connecting the record to the ASIN

Build a short compliance index

Create a cover sheet mapping each requested item to a filename and page. Include clear product and packaging images so a reviewer can connect the report to the customer-facing listing.

If the listing contains an unsupported safety claim or wrong age grade, correct the page and record the change separately from the document upload.

Maintain the file after acceptance

Track report expiry, standard updates, factory changes and product revisions. Recheck the listing whenever packaging, components or model names change so old evidence is not reused for a new version.
