How do you approach Amazon FBA hijacker removal?

Start by confirming which seller is offering the product and what the evidence shows is wrong. For a suspected FBA hijacker, record the seller identity, offer and fulfillment method, then document any product mismatch or rights issue. Use the reporting route that addresses the conduct you can substantiate.

The FBA label alone does not answer whether a seller has your distribution permission or whether the product supplied matches the listing. Treat fulfillment, seller identity and product evidence as separate questions when deciding what action to request.

Does Fulfilled by Amazon mean Amazon is the seller?

Not necessarily. Amazon explains that FBA lets sellers outsource storage and order fulfillment, including picking, packing, shipping and related services. A business can remain the seller while Amazon handles the delivery. Read the seller and fulfillment information together before identifying the party behind an offer.

Save the seller-profile link and identifier as well as the display name. A screenshot showing only a Prime badge or shipping message does not identify the seller you want Amazon to investigate.

What if the FBA seller has taken the Buy Box?

Capture the current Featured Offer, often called the Buy Box, and the other available offers. Check whether the concern is a competing price, a different product, misleading condition information or an alleged rights violation. Losing the Featured Offer is commercially important, but it does not by itself establish infringement.

An exclusive distribution disagreement alone is not an IP violation that Amazon enforces, according to its public moderator guidance. If the product is suspected to be counterfeit or materially different, explain the observable product issue and preserve the supporting evidence.

What evidence connects the product problem to the FBA offer?

If you use a test purchase, verify the selected seller before ordering and retain the order record. Offers can change while you are comparing prices or placing an order. Evidence from a purchase made from a different seller should not be presented as proof against the target offer.

Describe differences precisely: an incorrect model, missing component or inconsistent branding is more useful to review than a photograph labeled fake without an explanation. Retain the original packaging and records where relevant to the allegation.

  • Marketplace, ASIN, seller ID and seller-profile URL
  • Dated offer screenshots showing price, condition and fulfillment method
  • Order confirmation identifying the seller if you make a test purchase
  • Delivery, packaging and product photographs linked to that order
  • A clear comparison with a genuine product or the advertised specification
  • Relevant rights records and previous report or case IDs

Which reporting route fits a suspected FBA hijacker?

For an eligible brand account, Amazon's Report a Violation tool provides a guided process for reporting IP infringement and other supported concerns. A rights owner without a brand enrolled in Brand Registry can review the Report Infringement form. Use the available workflow and select the issue supported by the facts.

Explain whether you are reporting a seller's supplied product, a particular use of your rights or an incorrect detail page. Targeting an entire ASIN when the concern belongs to one seller can make the requested action unclear. Keep the seller, product evidence and requested remedy connected.

What if the seller disappears and later returns?

Keep the original seller identifier, report reference and dated evidence so you can compare a later offer accurately. A similar storefront name is not enough to establish that it is the same account. Document what returned and whether the conduct matches the earlier report.

After a removal or offer change, check the offer list again and continue monitoring important ASINs. Preserve the outcome as carefully as the first report so any repeat issue has a clear history.

How long does FBA hijacker removal take?

There is no single removal time that applies to every FBA offer. The evidence, type of concern and Amazon's review all affect the next step. When an earlier report has not resolved the issue, review the response and any evidence gap before submitting the same allegation again.
