Amazon Address Verification: Document Checklist

Name the address being verified

Seller accounts can contain a registered office, principal place of business, residential address, return address, warehouse and bank correspondence address. A valid document for one location may not prove another. Copy the field name and requested address from the current verification screen or notice.

List every address visible in Seller Central and the business record that supports it. This reveals whether the problem is missing evidence or a value entered in the wrong field.

Check document ownership and recency

Use only document types accepted by the current workflow. Confirm that the issuer, account holder, complete address, issue date and page boundaries are readable. When a bill is in a landlord, director or parent company's name, a separate record may be needed to connect that person or entity to the seller.

• The document owner matches or is provably connected to the seller
• The address includes unit, postal code and country where applicable
• The issue date falls within the period requested by Amazon
• No annotations, edits or image compression obscure security features

Normalize format without changing facts

Abbreviations, transliteration and local address order can make the same location appear different. Use a consistent English rendering where the workflow permits it, but retain the original document and never alter its printed value.

If the company moved, show the effective date and supporting registration, lease or utility history. Remove an obsolete account value only through the normal account controls and keep a record of the change.

Submit one coherent address set

Choose the smallest file set that proves the requested address and any necessary relationship. Label each file by purpose, confirm the account entry matches, and save the submission confirmation for the case timeline.
