Account and listing recovery
Amazon Account Reactivated but Listings Still Inactive? What to Check
Amazon account reinstated but your listings are still inactive? Check approval scope, offer status and inventory before choosing the next recovery step.
Why are listings still inactive after Amazon account reactivation?
If your Amazon account is reactivated but listings are still inactive, first check what the approval actually covers. An account reinstatement does not tell you whether a particular offer has stock, a complete listing, an acceptable price or an unresolved product restriction. Investigate the current ASIN and SKU status before choosing the next action.
A practical way to organize the problem is to check four things separately: permission to sell through the account, any product-specific decision, the status of your own offer and the availability of inventory. This prevents an already resolved account issue from obscuring a different obstacle.
Did Amazon restore the account, the product or only a selling privilege?
Read the entire reinstatement message, including the marketplace, named products and any remaining instructions. Record whether it refers to the selling account, an individual ASIN, a fulfillment-related privilege or a specific case. The approval should be interpreted within that scope.
For example, a message addressing identity verification does not explain a separate product-compliance request. If the affected ASIN has its own notice, compare that notice with the account approval rather than assuming the two decisions resolve the same concern.
What does the current inactive listing status tell you?
Search for the exact ASIN and seller SKU in the relevant marketplace. Save the status, issue message and action Amazon currently recommends. The word inactive is a starting point; the explanation beside it is more useful for deciding what to address.
Amazon's public guidance provides tools for incomplete or suppressed listings and identifies a separate Pricing Health view for offers deactivated because of possible pricing errors. Those are reasons to inspect the offer before submitting another account appeal.
- Closed or unavailable offer: review your offer settings and stock information.
- Incomplete or search-suppressed listing: identify the specific missing or conflicting information.
- Pricing alert: read the displayed concern and the applicable Pricing Health action.
- Product restriction or compliance notice: follow the instructions for that particular product.
What if you have FBA inventory but the product cannot be purchased?
Check the inventory information for the same SKU as the unavailable offer. Record the quantity shown as available for sale, any inventory-related notices and any outstanding action. Knowing that units are in the fulfillment network is not enough to identify why your offer cannot currently be purchased.
If a response mentions an inventory hold or product eligibility, preserve that response with the listing screenshot. Ask about the specific unresolved status. Account approval, product approval and the movement of physical stock should not be treated as interchangeable evidence.
What should you include in a focused follow-up case?
Describe the remaining problem in one sentence, such as: the account approval was received, but the named SKU still displays a specific restriction. Explain the difference between the approved action and the present obstacle. Supply documents requested for that obstacle, rather than attaching an unrelated bundle of older appeal material.
- The reinstatement message and its date or case ID
- Marketplace, ASIN, seller SKU and affected fulfillment method
- A dated screenshot of the current listing or offer status
- Any remaining product notice, pricing alert or inventory message
- The relevant action already completed and the response received
Should you wait or submit another appeal?
Follow any processing window or next-step instruction in the latest response. If the stated window has passed, or the offer shows an additional unresolved requirement, use that information in a targeted follow-up. There is no single waiting period that explains every inactive listing after reinstatement.
Another appeal is useful when it addresses the remaining decision and its evidence requirements. If you receive the same response repeatedly, review what information is still missing before resubmitting.
What if the offer is active but you cannot find it in search?
Check the exact product page, your own offer and the intended delivery destination. A product missing from a keyword search is a different observation from a SKU marked inactive in Seller Central. Record which condition you can actually confirm so the support request asks Amazon to investigate the right problem.
